About us
Olaf grew up in Friesland and learned the love for boats and sailing from his father. They spent every holiday on the Frisian lakes and the Wad, from Harlingen to the Danish coast. As a teenager he often went along as a sailor on ships like ours and it was not long before he became a skipper himself at the age of 22.
Not much later he bought his great love: The tjalk Lotus, then called the Harmina. His passion for sailing, the Wad and the Frisian lakes has only grown since then.
In 2017, we expanded our fleet with a two-masted clipper: De Waterwolf. Since then we have brought together Olaf’s passion, knowledge & skills with Nicci’s Burgundian approach, love of travel and hospitality & leisure.
Because together we are still so impressed by nature in the Netherlands and like to share this with our guests, a trip on board with us is never the same and always an adventure.
